Key takeaways
- Choose how the assistant gets the conversation, whose accounts it uses and who receives the result.
- Anyx documents a WhatsApp group-member workflow. Tab and Pally also document group capabilities, with different access models.
- A personal or shared assistant can work from permitted Anyx Notes without joining the original group.
- Compare the same coordination task, account eligibility and billing unit before paying.
WhatsApp group assistants differ in source access and who sees the result. Anyx joins the group; Pally can read WhatsApp through your account, and Tab announces group features. Instinct, Meta Muse, ChatGPT Dots and Grok Bot offer other documented workflows. Choose by the shared task and verified access, not a blanket ranking.
This is the Anyx blog. Documentation and prices checked 2 November 2026. This is a source-based comparison, not hands-on testing of the alternatives. Examples below are fictional.
Which assistants can work with a WhatsApp team?
Group membership, access through your account and a forwarded summary provide different information. A product may support several modes.
| Product | Documented access and setup | Where it may fit better |
|---|---|---|
| Anyx | From group info, tap Add and choose Anyx. Group admins, or anyone the group allows to add participants, can do this. Once it has joined, tag it from your verified number. Tell members it is there. | Shared questions about the captured conversation, plus separate Group Notes for decisions and open items. |
| Tab | Official updates announce WhatsApp, group chats, the same memory across Messages and WhatsApp, and recurring checks. Exact channel-specific group setup remains unclear. Updates describe broad signup access, while the homepage and terms still say private beta/waitlist. Verify actual account access. | Calling, document work and broader delegation, if your account has the relevant features. Check actual access first. |
| Pally | WhatsApp uses your Linked Devices account: it reads and sends as you. Its visible group-member instructions name iMessage and Telegram. | Catching up through your own WhatsApp account, or its documented group-memory and scheduled-post workflows in supported channels. |
| Instinct | Public pages describe a text/call assistant using a phone and computer. A native WhatsApp group setup was not established by the checked sources. | Personal errands and phone/computer work. Its own Mailbox is another possible input, subject to account access and a receipt test. |
| Meta Muse | Meta documents app/WhatsApp conversations, connected email and business tools. Meta names the US and Canada and announced Singapore on 27 October. Israel is not named in these sources; verify country/account availability. A separate WhatsApp group-member setup was not established. | Work across supported mail, Meta business accounts and other connectors, where eligible. |
| ChatGPT Dots | Always-on cloud responsibilities, connected apps, Slack and Teams. Rollout, plan and regional eligibility apply. Native WhatsApp group membership was not established. | Ongoing cross-app work, with supported email plugins and saved schedules. |
| Grok Bot | Personal and shared cloud Bots, connected apps and routines. Shared-Bot chats are private per member. Native WhatsApp group membership was not established. | A shared agent across supported apps, with explicit collaborator/manager roles and account-specific access. |
Unverified setup is an unknown, not proof a capability is absent. Setup still means connecting accounts and checking sources/recipients. Maintain schedules, permissions and fresh inputs.
What makes Anyx a strong fit for an internal team?
Anyx fits when the team’s working source is a WhatsApp group. A tagged question gets a group-visible answer. Notes provide a separate account/email briefing.
People can ask what the group decided without repeatedly forwarding excerpts. Answers still need checking. Anyx works from captured messages; a phone agreement needs to reach that source.
Configured group routines are approved once, then run without fresh confirmation. Start with a brief or draft when external action is unnecessary.
For multiple clients, keep their sources and recipients distinct. Our business group guide covers that setup.
Can each assistant preserve the same handoff?
Consider this fictional equipment team. Dana agrees to ask the supplier about availability. Amir suggests Wednesday for collection. No customer appointment or collection owner is confirmed.
Action items
Ask the supplier whether the equipment is available.
Missing: No deadline stated
Open questions
Can collection happen on Wednesday?
Missing: Suggested by Amir. No collection owner or accepted time stated.
Has the customer accepted a visit?
Missing: No acceptance in this excerpt.
Illustration of the expected distinctions. Not a tested product result.
Give candidates the same permitted source. Preserve Dana’s accepted task, Wednesday’s proposed status and missing owners. A confident “Wednesday booked” fails this test.
Fictional excerpt: Dana says, 'I will ask the supplier about availability.' Amir says, 'Could we collect it Wednesday?' Nobody answers. List accepted tasks, owners, stated dates, proposals and open questions. Do not assign Amir the collection or invent a booking. Return a draft here only. Do not send or change anything.
This is an evaluation request, not a technical permission lock. Check the product’s actual app access and action settings too.
What do the prices and limits mean?
Prices checked 2 November 2026. Dollar figures are not a cost-per-completed-task benchmark. Country, tax, billing period and eligibility can affect checkout.
| Product | Public price or source limit | Billing question |
|---|---|---|
| Anyx | Starter $35/month for 4 groups; Pro $60 for 30; Max $120 for 120. | Group allowance and plan features. Confirm the current checkout. |
| Instinct | A fixed public amount was not verified; its terms allow paid features. | Ask what your account includes. Do not assume free unlimited use. |
| Tab | No fixed public price verified; terms describe private beta. | Confirm access, limits and price before depending on it. |
| Pally | Free with a refilling allowance; optional Cloud Mac displayed at $95/month. Old Pro/Max plans are retired. | Computer capacity is not a WhatsApp group allowance. |
| ChatGPT Dots | ChatGPT Pro tiers cost US$100/$200/$500 monthly. Dots eligibility applies separately: adults outside the EEA/UK/Switzerland. | Gradual rollout. Business Premium/Enterprise have separate routes; ordinary Business does not establish access. |
| Grok Bot | Individual tiers display $30/$100/$200 monthly, with weekly usage allowances. | Check eligible linked subscriptions, seats and shared-Bot limits. |
| Meta Muse | Free allowance; Power $20/month with 500M tokens/week; Maximum $100 with 3B/week. | Limits and availability vary by account and region. Tokens are not group counts. |
A free tier may suit a light trial. A higher subscription may suit wider computer work. Neither establishes better source fidelity.
Can the products work together?
Yes. Anyx Notes can be context for an assistant that has permission to read the receiving mailbox, or for a selected note you paste.
The current ChatGPT/Codex guide, Grok/Grok Bot guide and Instinct Mailbox guide explain different handoffs. Check the actual sender, literal [Anyx] subject prefix and group name in the subject or body. Combined emails may not name each group in the subject.
Test a fresh note before scheduling. Check the saved tool, time zone and next run. A reminder to paste a note does not fetch future email.
What are the limits of this comparison?
Vendor documentation is not independent performance or security evidence. We did not run customer accounts through these workflows, measure accuracy or calculate time savings. Mailbox permissions do not establish native group participation. Notes reflect their source and reporting period, not every conversation or completed action.
Start with one internal group. Check whether the assistant preserves what people actually agreed and sends the result to the intended people.
FAQ
Is Anyx the only assistant here with group features?
No. Tab announces group chats and WhatsApp, Pally documents group workflows, and Grok Bot supports shared Bots. The important distinction is the exact channel, source access and output audience. Anyx documents a separate agent in a WhatsApp group.
Does Anyx post Group Notes in the WhatsApp group?
No. Notes are saved in your account and delivered by email. Send to my WhatsApp is a manual action to your private chat. Tagged group answers and configured group routines are separate from Notes delivery.
Can I use Anyx alongside another assistant?
Yes, by supplying a note you are permitted to share or connecting its receiving mailbox where supported. The other assistant needs its own permissions. A recurring reminder alone does not give it mailbox access or live access to your WhatsApp group.
What should I test before choosing a plan?
Use a fictional handoff with one proposed date, one accepted task and one unanswered question. Check source freshness, owners, dates and who sees the result. Then compare account access, setup burden, usage limits and the actual billing unit.
